Elon Musk: Teslas will eventually be purchased with Dogecoin

Following calls from visitors to SpaceX and workers at the Tesla factory to make memecoin an official form of payment, Musk began to champion the cryptocurrency.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, made a suggestion that his electric vehicle company may use Dogecoin DOGE.

As a recognized means of payment for Tesla vehicles “at some point.”

A member of the audience questioned Musk on March 13 during a public forum at the Tesla manufacturing facility, the Berlin Gigafactory, regarding the possibility of purchasing Tesla using DOGE in the near future. Musk granted the request with a good response:

“I believe we should enable that at some point.”
Investor excitement was heightened by Musk’s answer, which caused the token’s market price to spike. As the video becomes more popular on X, Dogecoin responded by rising from $0.172 to $0.188 at the time of writing, representing a 9.3% increase.
Musk affirmed that supporters of the altcoin can still use DOGE to purchase Tesla items and expressed his support by saying, “Dogecoin to the moon.”

After a few Tesla Gigafactory workers pushed the CEO to accept Dogecoin as an official form of payment, Musk initially began praising DOGE. Visitors at SpaceX made a similar plea, asking for support for Dogecoin, which he eventually granted, saying as much:

Tesla started accepting Dogecoin payments for its company merchandise from Jan. 14, 2022. At the time, the company clarified that it supported only Dogecoin payments and any other β€œnon-Dogecoin digital assets sent to Tesla will not be returned to the purchaser.”
